They're the best problems, the ones that don't cost you anything apart from realising you've been a spaz!

The track bike doesn't need the clutch pulled in if its in neutral and I have been mucking within more than the Triumph lately, poor excuse but my only one.

Cleaned it. It was filthy...very filthy, even after a scrub it's still not 100% but chain is clean and relubed. Also tightened slightly so it's all ready for Monday

Went and tried some Held gloves on. The Air and Dry ones that have a goretex compartment and a summer vented compartment too. Might go back and buy them tomorrow.

I've got Held phantoms Duke and there the best gloves I've owned period.

I know the air and dry and temepted myself as a great glove for spring / autumn.

They are good fit, and best I have used. The feel is superb and I have every confidence they would hold up in a crash.

Put the Triumph back together AGAIN :@ to get it rego'd (MOT). I had it all stripped down to get the fairings finally painted. My bro Inlaw is an auto painter and was doing them for me. He was planning to move interstate so I had them all ready to go to him when his contract job got cut so his relocation interstate happened sooner than expected. So I ran out of time to sort a new painter before the rego was due. So once again the bike is back together looking all multi coloured. Due to a number of circumstances this rebuilt has dragged out over 4 yrs now. I was ready to burn the thing today, until I took it out for a quick test ride after I'd finished. It still rides so well and sounds great. It felt gutless down low after riding the V-twin Duke in NZ but over 10K it still moved pretty well.

Then I took the ZX10R out for a sneaky (well as sneaky as you can with a race Werkes pipe!), that thing is a pig below about 60-70 km, feels heavy and unresponsive, but above that it's evil fun!

I can imagine Spudda will have a hernia seeing a d600 look like that (lol)

do you ever get asked why you've got a .co.uk url on your bike? :D

No for a while on the triumph as its only been on the road once a year for rego in the last 4 yrs!

I did get asked about the hand slap stickers on the ZX at the track last time, but no one really gets why I would be on a UK biking forum. I occasionally explain the whole D600.org saga and migration to Tankslap, but everyone thinks I'm still a bit weird.

Unfortunately they are probably right :?

There's an original Pitty's Vinyls bulldog sticker on that screen too. No one gets why I'd buy my vinyls in UK either! (Lol)

The vinyl sponsor decals for the belly pan Pitty did for my D6 will be vintage by the time they go on!!

When I scrapped the old OEM decals off the tank and fairings it did show up how much better Pitty's stuff is. He made me stacked dual colour original triumph decal copies. They will look stunning once on.

Took the 748 down the B4364 to give it its first decent run since Mike serviced it and to try out the winter improvements properly.

I raised the rear ride height by about 4mm and also fitted some Ducabike bars which have a reduced drop of 4 degrees from standard ( though they can be adjusted anywhere between the original 10 degree angle and the 6 degrees i have them on now). The bars are also connected almost directly to the fork leg without the offset the standard ones have. Ducabike say its as per Motogp bars but no idea if that is right. Regardless the bike now turns much easier but still retains the trademark stability that the 916 bikes have and is less of a stretch to the bars, so I am really pleased with the money spent. The only thing i have noticed is that the bike now seems very sensitive to hitting cats eyes and steering deflects quite noticeably off them.

The service work Mike has done means the bike runs perfectly and I had a great ride down and back and did just under 100 miles in two hours with a stop for photos. The Bridgnorth end of that road is quite hard work especially when their is traffic as there was today but the second half flows so beautifully and its much easier to pass any traffic that I came across. Really enjoyed the ride and could comfortably have carried on riding for another hour or so which is not something i could always say of riding the 748.
