Doss day with the kids. Apart from when they decided to play Street Fighter. Then I watch Interstellar. Had builders doing the front garden so I can park the bikes up. They've done a decent job, just a couple of things to be tidied up.

Quick blast on the bike this morning whilst wife and kids at church. Then a family fun afternoon out on push bikes and a nice roast dinner later on and watch BSB qualifying. Happy days, the simply things in life are always the best IMO

First day back after 4 days off for the bank holiday. Wishing I hadn't even bothered. Yet again another person has gone sick so once again down 2 men. Havent had a full team for good couple months now. The guy who's gone sick has been talking about going sick for ages because he's tired due to do I g extra work because very few are in. However what he doesn't know is he thinks he'll get paid for it (sick is paid here) but because it's straight after a holiday (bank holiday) that is now void. I wasn't aware it included bank holidays however I realise this is true for after a planned holiday. Clearly this guy isn't aware as well that this is inclusive of bank holidays.

Serves him right to be honest gets no love from me haha!!

My work has a similar policy after bank holidays. It stopped a lot of people phoning in sick on a Tuesday

Well I didn't know that. Every day is a school day.

Although I can see the reason for such policy it does penalise people who are sick whilst on holiday. Personally if I was sick on holiday I would phonenwork cancel the holiday and go on sick leave with a doctors note.

Saying that I have not had a single day sick for at least 15 years.

Taking the kids to a local petting farm and stables. There some duck ponds, a park and a cafe too. As its walking distance from house down the back lane it will kill an afternoon easily.

Been out with kids on bikes this morning, been to Derbyshire on my bike this afternoon and heading out with family for some tea.

Going to a country hotel that has a nice restaurant and if by chance it just so happens to be the Porsche uk north west regions meeting there tonight. What a chance occurrence not sure how that could have come about

There were some very nice Porsche's there last night including a mint 356. Perkles you would have loved it mate.

Today the missus is out so its a father son bonding day.

Ive past a nice beauty spot in Derbyshire a million times on the bike so taking the lads up today for an explore and look round. Glorious day so will be good to be out in the fresh air in some stunning scenery with the sun on our faces.

I've had a shed load of papers come in on a very old case but we've only recently been instructed. Looks like I've got a lot of running around to do.

Well just got back from paddling at padley gorge. Had a great time with my lads messing about in the river and climbing some rocks. Just got back and there in the garden continuing there games whilst I enjoy a beer on the decking with the sun shining. Happy days.
