When Scotland was voting to leave the figures didn't look good for the UK without them. In terms of generating national income, Scotland is very profitable.

In 2014, the largest exporting industry is manufacture of food products and beverages (£4.8 billion, 17.3% of all exports). The second largest industry is Legal, accounting, management, architecture, engineering, technical testing and analysis activities (£2.3 billion, 8.5% of all exports), followed by the manufacture of refined petroleum and chemical products (£2.1 billion, 7.8% of all exports ), Mining and Quarrying (£1.9 billion, 6.9% of all exports) and Wholesale and retail trade (£1.8 billion, 6.5% of all exports).
The figures tend to suggest that they're not as reliant on that sector as you think they are

The pound is plummeting against everything. Biggest fall is against the yen where it's lost 10%. Glad I bought my new bike whilst I could afford it.

If you're accusing us of dodgy expenses claims, not doing a full day of work at the office and looking to take as much time off as possible......

I thought Scotland was big on service industries....I'm thinking phone stuff, internet, etc...?
Comparative to it's size, of course.
