Has anyone taken the afternoon off?

We've got a TV at work. I don't know if I can be arsed to watch it at work.

I'm fearing the worst to be honest. I can see England bottling it.

Still working. Couldn't see the point of taking paid time off work. Would be a good afternoon to be out on the bike.

I recorded the match.

My boss asked if I wanted to go home early so I could watch it live, after careful consideration I thought it would be wiser not to accept the offer because of others within the department, don't want to 'use' seniority over others, he did say to me though 'do you think anyone else would have that thought if offered this?!' Probably not I thought!!

I was really umming and urming about watching it on the recording because I finish at 1430 I would of only missed first half and I would of got home for second half but I decided to use my recording and watch how well England actually play for the whole match. Knowing Bale would shake England a bit I wanted to see how well they fair with him

So I got in , get a drink, get the game all sorted and as the whistle blew the match started
...I get a text -
mum it says
OK I thought
1-1 England just equalised it says
I have just started the first half I said
No reply!! Haha

England know how to keep us on the edge of our seats don't they!!

Good result but it was far too close.

Totally agree Kwacky. England should of comfortably won that in my opinion. It's not looking too good when we go up against the bigger stronger sides does it!

Fair enough, but if someone paid me £140k a week to kick a ball about I wouldn't turn it down.

Me neither, but I also wouldn't dive at the slightest change of wind and pretend I've been hurt when I'm not.

I also imagine that viewing figures for a team of guys that run out of steam before reaching the halfway line with a 50p for a foot would be minimal!

Watched the game last night. How we didn't even score one I don't know, and yet Wales managed to win 3-0 against an opponent that we drew with...we make it look hard!!

Almost to the knock out stages now. I can't see England progressing much further. I've seen a few teams who look much better organised and able to score goals.

Getting to quarters would be good. Keep the journey and atmosphere going a bit longer.

We have a very god squad for this tournament, they are all hungry to win, you could tell their disappointment when the whistle went against Slovakia. Think they are going to be pulling out all the stops next game

Ranks as one of the worst England performances I have ever seen in a Tournament.

No shape, no desire, no one running with the ball, static, clueless.

Not happy! How did Joe Hart not stop the second goal he is a world class keeper that should of been a easy save for him with very little effort if any to be honest
