Remember when the BBC used to care about music?
I'm hoping we'll get some Bowie films on the TV soon.
RIP David Bowie

Yeah, I was only a kid/teen in the 80s, but I loved Whistle Test and all those shows.Kwacky wrote:Remember when the BBC used to care about music?

Whatever happened, eh? Now it's all Strictly and cooking shows. Sigh.

Re: RIP David Bowie
Piracy for music has dropped since more music was made available online. There's still a lot of money to be made in the business.

Re: RIP David Bowie
Partly, sure. But the Beeb shows were surely never dependent on record sales? They were artist showcases.duke63 wrote:what happened is people no longer want to pay for their music.
Some of us still buy music.

Re: RIP David Bowie
I am very late here. I think like Cav I don't know what he was like etc but I did know his hits, and knew he was a go getter and did change his appearance a lot!!
RIP to be honest if you look at artists, actors and actresses now we can safely say they are throw away performers. Meaning they get one hit and we forget all about them, I think the days of real musician's are long gone and he was a real musician as his music is still playing now.
