I don't see it as a problem, I see it as employmentBlade wrote:Most of the electricity is generated from fossil fuels so it's just moving the problem (if you see it as a problem) rather than solving it which seems pretty pointless imo.
Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

We are surrounded by countless mega watts of energy. Anyone know how much energy is in one atom of hydrogen? There's more energy in a litre of water that you could use in a lifetime and the only reason we've not unlocked it yet is there is still too much profit in oil. And that's ignoring the quadrillion trillion billion mega watts of energy we get from the sun every day. Seriously think about, you can cook a chicken on a solar oven that's a few feet square.

Those solar ovens in the Himalayas are fantastic. Boils a kettle in no time too.Monty wrote:We are surrounded by countless mega watts of energy. They started Taxing sunlight years ago Duke. Hence the expression Daylight robbery.duke63 wrote:The **** are waiting until they can tax and restrict the use of sunlight and water.
"Taxes are rarely popular, but the Window Tax, which was considered to tax the very stuff of life, that is, light and air, was singled out for particular loathing. People went to great pains to avoid paying it and many windows were bricked up for that reason. The English were robbed of their daylight by the Window Tax. That's daylight robbery in anyone's book."
