They seem to be the tyre of choice on the sx forum.

No chance. It's bloody freezing out there.

Easy ride into work. I need to get used to having 1043cc to play with as I was using the gearbox too much.

Starting to learn the dimensions of the bike so I can put it between cars.

I also need to get used to the steering. It feels like it wants to go wide but it's very good at changing direction so there's no issue correcting mid corner. Reading on the SX forum they recommend using a 55 instead of a 50 tyre to address this issue.

That will lift the rear by 10mm which will reduce the trail at the front and therefore aid a quick steering bike and reduce under steer on exits which is what you want. Definitely a good idea IMO.

I don't know if you have set your sag or not but perhaps add some preload to the rear to add a little height at the rear and see if that improves things. If it does you know the 55 profile is the way to go.

I've barely touched the bike since I got it. I'll ride it for a bit before I start making any changes so I can work out what needs doing. The suspension needs to be set up as it's on the soft side for my tastes.

Just a suggestion as will only take 2 seconds with the remote preload adjuster and gives you valuable feedback on if the 55 profile will help.

Enjoy the ride.

Yep, you're right, it's a quick job. Advice is appreciated. (y) There's a long weekend coming and I've got the kids for a couple of those days as Mrs K is at work so I'll have time to work on the bike with the added bonus of a few trips on the bike under my belt.
