Out in the 4WD with all 6, drove up to a glow worm tunnel. Gravel road which you could almost do in a 2WD, but the area is so popular it’s fully google mapped, so we were picking side loops that were a lot more technical. Jess and Leila got out at one stage and walked a section
On the way to the tunnel, you have to drive through a hand cut sandstone tunnel.. quick clip here.
Physio today. It's an assessment before they give me more extreme movements... jumping, running and minor impact.
I finally finished my old MTB yesterday so took it down the road to the pump track this morning. 1.5 miles there, 7 laps including probably 12 jumps per lap and 1.5 miles back. Not only are my quads exhausted, so am I.
I needed to do this before Physio to let them know how I handled it.
This morning I'll be exiting & DNR-ing (Do Not Re-admit) a young man from the sober-living house that I manage.
...This guy has been nothing but trouble from the get-go....I'm amazed he's lasted as long as he has, TBH.
In the true spirit of Christmas, I'm determined to savour the moment. Muwahaha!!!!
Pondering the realisation that I have misjudged my 0% credit card and the only way to raise the capital to pay it off in time is to sell the bike!
I had a look on autotrader for a cheaper replacement and found a nice looking VFR 800 with full luggage at a local-ish Kawasaki dealer in Batley, perfect place to trade in a Kawasaki, checks website and they're open (my local J&S is so I didn't doubt it), half an hour in the car later... NOPE!
Try again on Tuesday I suppose.
I have a sudden bee in my bonnet about getting debt free asap, or maybe I am just tired of living pay day to pay day and relying on overtime.
I would get too focused on the luggage on a vfr (IMO) unless you can actually use it. When I went to sell mine nobody was bothered at all about the full factory colour matched luggage, infect I took it off and sold the bike faster without.
Also IMO, hugely underestimate bike the vfr. Did about 10k on the one I had in 6(ish) months. That included daily commuting in all weathers and the tankslap tour de France, all of which it did perfectly.

Some friends want to tour in Europe next year Sergio wants to see his family in northern Italy and it would be nice to go with them so I will need at least top box and a roll bag for 2 weeks away, I need to take some stuff which needs to be kept refrigerated which takes some space.
I was reading your thread the other night and it helped me to settle on the VFR, research says the 06+ bikes are smoother on/off VTEC and I'm watching a video on youtube by RichyVida, he has over 85K miles on his VFR and it's still going strong! It should sound like the MT-10 without the epic thirst for unleaded.

The on/off VTEC is much more fun than you think, especially when your not a beardy boring git who spends more time explaining how he knows better than the team of engineers that Honda choose to design the funding then riding one.
If I remember the "switch" was as 7250rpm, so you just don't ride there. But... When you grab a handful below the switch and wind it up, hell yeah.. you really feel the bike wake up under you and you can quickly forget your riding an older 800.
