How wonder how many of those same nobheads are happy to buy stuff made in China, when it suits them.

Does the fact that they are suggesting Chinese control may be a possibility, necessarily indicate that they are "anti-Chinese" ?
(wait) Perhaps if the Chinese government was running this country (instead of our home-grown narcissists) , the Cv19 crisis would have been over here a long time ago* (nod)

(* Because they have pretty much eliminated it in mainland China).

I wonder how many of them are posting their anti-Chinese bile on phones, tablets or laptops made in China?

The flu vaccination was different, the nurse tried to inject my old TB scar, it wouldn't go in so she had a 2nd attempt.

And then I helped Phil polish some scratches out of his panniers. Nearly slipped over on the moss on his drive, so got my pressure washer and floor cleaner and we took it in turns cleaning that and got rained on.
Good afternoon so far, got a good sense of achievement from all that.

Day off, so made a start on a big clear up in the back garden, well more like carried on from the last effort.
Chain saw out and did a heavy prune of the apple tree. I am sick and tired of clearing up apples that were falling off before they were ready. Anyway long overdue. Same with the vine, thats now down to the main branches.

Dug out all the weeds in the bed that runs the length of the garden , where the vine grows, laid down that sheeting to stop weeds.... I know it does not completely stop them, but it does help. Not before adding some weed killer for good luck.

Next will be a half a ton of blue slate chippings to cover it all up... should arrive in a few days.

Also getting fed up with text message from people I dont even know.... "Frankie I have been trying to contact you five times, re unverified requests that require action"..... WTF ! Who are you, what is this crap!!

Anyway I found via OFCOM you can forward these message to them to sort out.... I expect everyone in the world to know this, I did not!

So I feel quite knackered but happy a lot was done today.

Can you remember where Jack lives? You bring the beer and I'll grab some chips.

trying to push through the groundhog day feeling. 6 more night shifts then onto phase 3 of the trip, 2 weeks in quarantine detention again. A crew flew off yesterday, normally the out going crew are bubbly with excitement about going home. But everyone was quite flat with the knowledge they have to quarantine again.

By the time I get home this trip for the year I would have done

2 weeks hotel quarantine
4 weeks company quarantine
6 weeks home self isolation
4 weeks govt. quarantine detention

And that doesn't even include the 15 weeks actually isolated offshore as well or the time I was technically free, but normal society was in full lockdown.

Whilst we all sympathise with your understandable frustration, isn't there one big upside to all that ^ ?

Having seen the bars he hangs out in when he's home I reckon Covid-19 is the least of his viral worries. :D

I reckon my biggest risk is actually in the govt. quarantine as that is where the highest concentration of cases is in Australia! There are social distancing and mask rules to prevent transmission, but that requires everyone to obey them, and that wasn't my experience there.

Better not turn this thread into a covid rant thread.. (shake)
