Mine has been really bad for a couple of weeks. I've had to increase my asthma medication as a result

A nice big nosebleed, awesome. I was just driving into town and had to come home to change my shirt.

No idea why it happened, not been punched and not feeling stressed.

Anxiety. Probably going mountain biking with a good friend of mine tomorrow in a new-to-me part of the Forest. I'm an okay rider, I know my limits, but I feel like everything will be too much. I will trust what he says as he's much better than I am and knows my ability, just feel like backing out.

I have this problem a lot, I’ve nearly pulled out of every ride out with others and even a few trips away. I’ve learnt to push through it and I always have a good time. It’s not just with riding. Since all that quarantine time over the last two years I’m actually having a lot of general social anxiety. I try to remember all the positives of social interactions Ana breathe.

You have to push through it or it will consume you and you will never do anything , so speaks the voice of experience , took me over 10 years to find a way out and I discovered you have to force your way out make your own path and deal with life , the alternative is no life at all .

What Jack said. Just say yes to most things and see what happens - it is usally better than you imagine and that helps your brain learn that things are not that difficult.

It’s going out of our comfort zones that gives us the best life experiences from what I have found.

If we didn’t try new things we would never grow and learn.

The heat , been to Mallory for EMRA but have had to make an early exit due to the heat causing me to have some chest pain , severe enough that I had to use my GTN spray , was Ok once I had cooled down in the shade but a few minutes in the sun and I was in pain again so made the decision to call it a day and come home.

Just ride your own ride, Cav.
Start slow, finish fast(ish). It's his turf.... he's to wait for you, rather than you having to kill yourself trying to keep up with him.
And pray he gets a slow puncture.

Only way to get through this is do what you want to do anyhow
I found a really good book by a severe anxiety sufferer that cured himself, it was a turning point for me
I will look it up for you

If you would that's be great mate.. thank you.

I didn't meet my friend in the end and did my own thing but it was more down to time constraints than anything else. I got some good downhill laps in and also conquered another fear by doing a specific trail. It starts with 4 jumps adjacent to the push up path. It's visible from the trail head too so anyone who crashes has a large audience!!!
