Well the last 3 days of my life were written by Edgar Allen Poe , wednesday - wake up with some kind of chest infection , difficulty breathing , tired aching coughing up what I can only describe as yellow/green Bostik , feel like sh!t but I still have things I need to do start my day , a few hours later the fever kicks in hard and heavy I am in a permanent state of sweating and shivering sometimes together sometimes alternating , Then the Drama starts , I have managed to eat a pasty before the fever got me since then I've not been able to eat , I forced down a slice of toast on thursday and my son bought me a Belgian Bun yesterday which it would have been rude to turn down , not able to sleep for more than about 40 mins at a time before I awake shivering or sweating or coughing so about 50+ hrs into this I go to make a cup of tea and there is a huge crow sitting on the kitchen window sill just staring at me all the while I'm making tea , Thankfully the fever broke early evening yesterday and I was able to get some sleep , still coughing but feel loads better and am starting to make sense of everything else that has happened along the way . Thanks for the support chaps .

You're really going through the mill at the moment, aren't you Jack.
Hopefully you'll get back on top of things before long, all sounds pretty scary and distressing.

One question please, was the Crow a symptom of the fever, or an actual omen?

I think it was real , but I can't be 100% sure about it , I was messed up pretty bad at the time .

Felt a bit pants on Monday, did a test to check for covid. Well there you go, avoided for 2 years and now have it.
I was rough like a bad cold, throat etc hurting, bad head not getting rid of the headache, the sweats, Then it got a little worse. Managed a walk out yesterday, which has helped loads. Still runny nose, thumping head, but throat is getting better and the nose is getting to the drying up and sniffy stage.

I hope this buggers off soon Head very foggy so not even tried to attempt to work from home.

Who knows, it is everywhere right now... Speaking to a neighbour, it looks like the four houses to the left of me all ll have it as well

Has it hit you like this before.? Recently all the cases I've heard have been "more mild symptoms than when I last had it"

Just got the single line on my covid result on Sunday, Yipee... Bloody thing I felt like shit all last week. Thought I was getting better then went down hill over the weekend.

What happened?

I take it you and the bike are still in reasonable condition?

Thankfully the bike is fine and I'm just bruised on my knee/shin and got a super sore shoulder. I hit the same root I always hit except it was a bit wetter than I realised. Immediately after the root is a roller/mound which I hit with a wheel pointing the wrong way.

Just after the place I crashed is a 10ft rooty drop so I'm glad I crashed left otherwise it could have been a different story.

Feeling like my body battery is running very low. Resorted to the car this morning, was glad about that when I realised it was raining too. Couple of days off cycling now to recover
