MTFU is the most unhealthy thing though mate, you should get it sorted ASAP IMO.. no reason to pointlessly put up with it

Your right Cav
I've asked my secretary to make me GP appointment to get a referral to a Neuro Surgeon asap.
I'm away to Berlin soon but hopefully get something sorted out after that.
Thanks for telling me what I needed telling MTFU is wrong

What Cav said. Pain is not only bad for your physical health but it's a massive drain on your mental health as well.

Having spent a good couple of years in pain with my hip and then later with my shoulder I can confirm with using alcohol to mask the pain does more harm than good.Blade wrote:Been though injections and denervation treatment years ago Cav.

Spinal fusion
I've had to spend the best part of a year trying to get my blood pressure down to a safe level, and I'm certain this was caused by the excess of alcohol.
Seeing the doc is the right and only path IMO. I hope they get you sorted quickly mate.

I may have said this in the past, but Spinal Fusion isnt the end of the world. My father was one of the first to be given this operation in the mid 70's. At the time he could not move below the waist after an industrial accident to his back and my earliest memories are being sat on his plaster cast (he had to have a half body plaster cast to stabilise his back until the operation) drawing and playing on him. He couldnt work or move much. The operation removed all his pain and stabilised his back.
40 odd years later, he's still a very active 72 year old - he climbed with me in the Himalayas a few years ago and spent his life working normally, scuba diving, mountain climbing and marathon running.
As has been said MTFU only goes so far and usually masks a bigger problem.
He cant bend over quite so much, but you wouldnt know.
and if it doesnt improve can i have your SP?

Escaped for a few hours to the Long Mynd. Been turning down lanes that appear to go nowhere but actually give some spectacular views.
Bike is now over 1k miles so I can open the throttle properly all the time.
I’ve found that road mode gives a noticeable improvement to the mid range torque. Useful down some of these roads.

Imo road is a better mode than the twisty road mode tbh. Fuelling is betterduke63 wrote:Escaped for a few hours to the Long Mynd. Been turning down lanes that appear to go nowhere but actually give some spectacular views.

I know your problem is in a completely different area and a totally different situation but I can tell you my spinal fusion has made a huge difference to my quality of life. Been a long road to recovery but well worth it.Blade wrote:Been though injections and denervation treatment years ago Cav.

Trying to hold myself back from snapping.
People constantly changing procedure or re inventing the wheel daily is making a very hectic schedule much more difficult than it needs to be, by a significant margin.

My boss seems to think I'm sat at my desk, patiently waiting for her to give me work, work which she wants doing the moment she gives it to me.
So I have snapped.
She's now sulking.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Finished my rota this morning. What a crap rota. Ok not 100% true. My first 2 days were good. Milkyway ran fairly well and I didn't really have to get any tools out which was nice
In between my second day and my first night
Some bright spark decided that having NO process team was a good idea (not for the first time on this particular shift) and having only 7 crew on shift in the wrapping room to do an entire rooms change over was the best idea ever...something we later paid for
The day shift before my night shift
Full crew in. Process of course had massive issues. The day shift crew promised all M/Cs had been tested and fully set up. Of course we can't account for niggles but niggles is an acceptable level. No sweets on day shift, left to our shift to walk into start up
My 1st night shift
Sh!t - M/C screwing up left right and centre. We literally walked into a sh!t storm. Sweets were crap. M/C weren't running. Pile up after pile up of thousands of sweets into rework bins, scrap bins and the floor! This is after having the words 'all M/C been tested' muttered to us. This was all on our 'Bread and Butter' product. A choc bar that's so famous it's more famous than the creator/ owner/ founder. These M/C were designed and produced to run this particular product!
1910hrs we saw sweets.
2330hrs we shut down
0300hrs start up leaving niggles left in the M/Cs which we handed back over to the shift that said they had tested everything!
We continued until 0700hrs like normal but all exhausted and we were wiped out
2nd and last night shift
AMAZING. What a night, up to 0400HRS then 1 M/C (one of my M/C - although I tend to run up to 6 and float between them all and offer help to anyone who may need it - niggles, whether it needs a tech to deal with it, checks, or general running etc.) Something was on it's way out. For around 30mins beforehand then just went. Tried my best to clear it but tech had to be called. 1 M/C down and it caused such a head ache. From 0400hrs until 0650hrs we didn't stop.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Went to the dentist today after having issues with my wisdom teeth he has always spotted the fact my teeth have worn down and need fillings (8 to be precise!) Tomorrow first wisdom tooth being pulled (top one which hopefully will relieve a lot of the pressure, then I'll see what happens after that. The dentist reckons I'll be able to wait for the hospital appointment after that

glad you do. Its back in Britain and has been for 2.5 years now, when I first started we had to do a lot of training sorting out how to run it through our M/C. Keep buying it and secure our future within BritainCav wrote:Mmmmm..I love MilkywaysRossgo wrote:Finished my rota this morning. What a crap rota. Ok not 100% true. My first 2 days were good.
