Had a slip coming down the stairs yesterday and it's noticeably more painful today. Sleep was uncomfortable last night too.

Thankfully I only slipped down one step and was holding on with one hand and using crutches in the other but the rapid jarring of my new ACL has definitely been noticeable.

There's new bruising local to the pain too. Hopefully it's just a short term thing and I didn't cause any damage.
Hopefully it’s just a bit of inflammation mate, seemed like quite a successful surgery so will be a great shame if that’s been undone.

I've got the shoulder issue still. I've been having physio but I need an injection. My physio is writing to Bupa and to my GP recommending an injection.

My achilles.

I've done well having run for 5 or so years without a major injury. Well, my achilles decided it wants some time off. As it hurts like hell, it wins (for the moment)

Definitely give it plenty of rest, meaning months. That was the injury which brought all my running to an end. I ran the City2Surf 5 weeks after injury and could barely walk for about a week

Everything!

After two years off I've been running 3 times a week for the last 3 weeks and everything seems to have aged a bit!

I took painkillers before bed so I could get a good night's sleep. Now I feel massively hungover and tired.

I don't think I told you guys. I officially got diagnosed with ME/CFS.

Back when I was around 17, 1 year after my bone graft surgery, I began getting extremely fatigued and things like burpees in athletics training would ruin me for 2 weeks. They were investigating it for years and never got anywhere.

That would explain a lot. Hopefully you can tackle the issues better now you've got a diagnosis.

It was all good, just paperwork. Because I’d had surgery work insist on a clearance before coming back.

Good luck on sorting things out with the CFS, it’s a slog from what I’ve seen of a mate that dealt with it but getting a diagnosis is a big step in the right direction.

Thanks both! Hearing the diagnosis felt strange to be honest, it's been going on long enough already.

I've pretty much stopped my mindfulness practices which is a shame as they were helpful, just I'm so tired all the time at the moment with focusing on my knee and also my Wife who's been having a tough few weeks with a cold then nausea and fatigue.

Spoke to my GP yesterday. They've agreed to give me a steroid injection in the shoulder. Hopefully that'll get rid of the inflammation and pain. I've started to lose some of the range of movement so something needs to be done.

Had a text from my GP. They've decided to send me off for a scan before I have the injection.

That should delay matters by a few weeks :@

This seems to be dragging on, been a couple of years now isn’t it. I’m sure COVID hasn’t helped but still seems bloody slow

I injured the shoulder in February. I'm starting to lose range of movement. The pain is always there and I'm struggling to sleep.
