Hmmm...what day works well for you???

Trump will rise or fall by his own devices. It's not like I'm going to emigrate based upon who is running the show for any given period of office.

Cheers Guys it is a nice house hence all the hassle we are going through and putting up with.

It's a nice area with a very good school we want to get my eldest boy into next year.

There selling like hot cakes and the 3 storey house we opted for there is only 6 houses of that design in total and they've gone up 25k since we purchased ours as they are that popular. All 6 had sold months ago but one is back on the market so must have fell through.

MOT time for the Mrs car today. I took it for 2 new tyres yesterday and noticed the clutch was slipping really badly. She hadn't said anything about it and I haven't driven it for months. I asked her why she hadn't said anything and she reckons she hadn't noticed! What a retard. I've phoned a couple of Peugeot specialists and got a quote of £250 all in which is reasonable. But still...women...

I get this all the time with my wife.

Me: The trackings out
Her: It's fine for me
Me: It can't be fine for you and not for me.

2 weeks later.
Her: It needed new tyres and the tracking was out so I've had it adjusted.
Me: FFS.

This is oh so familiar.

Wife - the oil light came on today.
Me - have you checked the oil level??
Wife - why?

Or

Wife - The steering felt a bit funny today.
Me - that's because the tyre is nearly flat
Wife - it was ok yesterday.
Me - (facepalm)

Glad it's not just us.

I must admit I thought I was having a similar moment before I came out here this swing. I borrowed Jess' car to rip back up to my house briefly.

Me: your brake pads are worn, sound and feels like metal on metal
Her:Can't be, just had it serviced
Me: that was 4 months ago, and at your old work which you told me every day were dodgy as hell.
Her: They are fine
Me: no they aren't

I proceed to pull the front wheels off only to find the pads are in fact fine, only 1/3 worn BUT there was a stone caught in one that had started to score the disk.

So she was actually right, but it did need intervention, so I was still kinda right. A little. Maybe.

Sarah (on the phone) "Not sure what's wrong but it's really labouring on a hill and the engine light is on"
Me "When did the engine light come on"
Sarah "In Congleton"
Me "FFS that's 15 miles ago, pull over and get out of my car"

To be fair, the first time I took my GF out on my bike...it broke down & left us stranded at the side of the road miles from anywhere. And the second time wasn't much better....she can't really take her lid off, which prolly didn't help matters.

Now anytime I mention anything about bikes I get the 'look-that-kills'.

Like it's my fault.

Why can't she take her lid off? Is she not allowed to in public?
