The system is corrupt and broken.

By the end of the year 9% of all Government expenditure will be used to pay the interest on the Country’s debt. That is just the interest alone, no actual reduction in the debt included.

But they seem to think tax cuts are the answer.

Try that one when borrowing for a mortgage and the bank would tell you to **** off.

Absolute scum and taking the piss on every level. Yet its the ordinary working person earning just enough who is bearing the brunt of paying for the NHS and social care with the new NI increase.

Interesting read. I have never seen so many lies come out of one Government and its crew.

I know nothing of UK politics other than what I read on TS, but that letter smacks of such over confidence that Lord Geidt’s pockets must surely be lined.

I wonder if they will now do the decent thing and resign?

Probably not as they are not decent people.

8.5% here.... which is the highest it's been in 40 years..... it's been all over the news. I don't know how much that's been offset by the recent hike in gas prices, but I should imagine it factors in there to a fairly significant extent.

Tony Benn once said “The way a government treats refugees is instructive because it shows you how they would treat the rest of us if they thought they could get away with it”

Says it all really.
