Some interesting and very intellectual points here. Give it a listen even if you don't like Brand.

I know a lot of people think Brand is a idiot, but beneath that he is a very intelligent and philosophical bloke imo. He makes some very good points but I don't seee the situation changing

How does he have time to come up with that stuff in a dressing room??

He's great at criticising...not so good at offering solutions.

I've got to agree with what Trump says here.

Much as I mistrust the Trump, I am embarrassed to admit that he seems to be (largely) echoing my own standpoint.
However that does seem to be a platform for him with "opener questions" offered, rather than arguments against other viewpoints.?

Absolutely....someone in that position, all the questions are reviewed and vetted beforehand, so he can have an answer, or at least some semblance of an answer, already formulated.

It doesn't take much to realise that UK and USA policy over the middle east has been appalling bad for the last 25 years.

That said its good to hear someone in power admit it.

I wonder how long before those with the real power tell him he can't say these things.

25 years? I think you're being generous. We used the middle east in the 20s and 30s to practice blanket bombing. Look at what we did with Palestine and Israel in the 40s.

I don't think the US/UK policy is appalling, more than simply 'non-applicable'. The whole area is a tribal culture, and will continue in that way for the foreseeable future. You simply can't form a friendly union with a nation that is at odds with itself. It's like arguing with a woman who has been on her period for the last 700 years.

Using that analogy, the best thing to do is give her a box of chocolates and then get the feck out of there.

Did anyone see yesterday's press conference?

That man can't run a bath.

I doubt he will last a year in office.

I reckon the compromising pictures and evidence to show his relationship or communications with Russia will come out soon. No smoke without fire......

As for him not being able to run a bath - yesterday shows he'd deny they exist! Pathetic.
