agree on the carbon front its a lot more ridged material.

If i were to buy one of the new bikes as a road bike, i suspect the Yamaha might be the one i went for now.

It does sound like they've given this some serious thought. I wonder if it eliminates the need for something like a power commander?

Sounds like any other bike out there..... With the cats and what not, most bikes all sounds the the same out the factory.

I like the dash though :)

The more I see of the the new r1 the more I like it was impressed with it at the nec it looks very nice.
