swapped the pads over on the SX. I'm chuffed at how thick the discs are after 30,000 miles and having mrr pads used. I'm quite heavy on the brakes, as the dust I had to deal with will testify.
The calipers could do with a strip down and a proper clean.

Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

Eventually got all the fairings on the 600rr last night, what a PITA !! had to butcher it a bit to get the sidestand to work then drill holes for the crash bungs, had to butcher the tail piece as well as I think it may have been designed to go over a race sub frame which mine isn't. Put some of the decals on but need to finish them another night.

Bedding in the new brake pads, which are making that lovely swishing noise.

Nice little tool that Mr Kingfixer. Fwiw I was torn between getting my 675 and a 600rr just like that before I got my Daytona.kingfixer wrote:Well eventually got the 600rr done, just got to get the scrubs put on then it's ready for Almeria.
How do you rate it please ( ideally against the 675 you used to have).?

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
New tyre on the front fitted, small little blast tonight to take the shine off.
I think I waited waaaaaay to long to change the tyre, it's feels like a different bike, super sharp handling, compared to the way it has been. Also had the bearings replaced, while spinning up for balancing it was a tad grindy ha ha....
Note to self, don't be Such a tight arse and replace the tyres a little sooner next time.....
It think in fairness the weird wear was down to the foot pump. It has a gauge on it, but it is incorrect, so I have now discovered.

I found the PR4s had a strange wear pattern too. The profiles seemed very mismatched with miles on them.

Took out the 675 yesterday. Stuck 4psi in the front as it felt a bit low and did not seem to warm up. Had 32 in. Bike felt great got off tyre still cold. Got home and changed the tyres ready for almeria. Took the pilot poos off and put on a set of Metz rr k3's. Going to srub them in as soon as the weather is better.
"80mph" sorry officer I possibly could not have done that I'm no Valentino Rossi.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
New Rear now fitted,, so that's the full set sorted, just been for a quick little ride to see how the bike feels. Its a different bike, I cannot get over the difference in feel. I am much happier. Will see how we get on, for once in my life I will take a record of the mileage to monitor them.
Right time for chores.... part bike related, must dig out the gixer, not long until loading time for Spain.
