I usually find watching WWII docs. puts me to sleep....the narrator usually has a pretty calming voice. There's nowt like genocide to make your own problems seem just a tad smaller. Or old movies.

Fwiw I struggle to watch stuff like that Monty.Monty wrote:..Funny that, I woke in the night and watched a documentary on the Einsatzgruppen
Far from sending me to sleep I always get a gnawing sense of dread that starts in my stomach and takes hold of my whole being.
That sort of stuff usually leaves me pent up & unsettled for (days/dependant on specifics ), and most certainly encroaches on my sleep control patterns.

I should hope so, you'd be inhuman if it didn't. I do think it should be compulsory viewing at a certain age though, especially with the way the world is going!StMarks wrote:Fwiw I struggle to watch stuff like that Monty.Monty wrote:..Funny that, I woke in the night and watched a documentary on the Einsatzgruppen

Dispassionate viewing = objective assessment.
The PTSD will come soon enough....it's an entirely normal reaction....you come to recognise the triggers.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
Political correctness. My sister started working for the NHS a couple of months ago in the endoscopy dept. and she mentioned to me in conversation that the NHS is now not allowed to refer to pregnant women as 'expectant mothers' incase is offends trannies who are carrying a child. They now have to be referred to as 'pregnant people' as to not offend the pregnant men. What. The. Duck...

Can we call the policy makers total cocks or do we need to call them tw@ts as well, so as not to offend based on gender.

This doesn't surprise me we have freedom of speech...as long as we say what is written down that is.

Why is my admin assistant driving a 65 plate 3 series BMW? FFS man, get your priorities sorted. Who you hoping to impress? Why do you feel the need to impress people?

Posers. Still at home with Mum and Dad too mostly. Either that or scraping fuel money together to get to and from work after getting anally raped renting a poxy studio flat.
