Popped along to Cov Uni for an open day at the Motorsport Engineering dept. The place looks brilliant. They build a car every year that gets raced at Silverstone in a student cup after the F1, the one they have this year is being developed to be under 200kg and it has a tuned CBR600RR motor on the back of it. It'll be a couple of years until I apply for it yet though.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Didn't someone else on the Daytona site go in for that a while back...or was that you talking about your plans for it??
I seem to remember someone going over details of how the car mates a bike engine to a car differential/gearbox, or something like that.

Enduring a truly hideous trip into Kensington/Hammersmith, with the M25 screwed, M4 screwed, N.Circ screwed, A40 screwed plus an incorrect address, it was a nightmare morning.
And I've got to do it all again tomorrow.

Went to see The Pixies last night with Beermonster and a couple of mates.
What a gig. It was rammed so I lost them for most of the night but I bumped into some old mates.

Of course 8 weeks old. Spends his life eating, biting, piddling and sleeping
Lovely to have one again. I needed a break from them, but always felt a little empty.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Went to see my mate who is recovering from a nasty lorry v car accident.
He's a lucky lad. Part of the A frame came into the car and struck his head. He's got cuts and scars on his head and face but no head injury.
Both ankles are dislocated, one had to be operated on. He's right knee has been rebuilt. His left femur has a nail and screws in it.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Thanks guys. I missed a couple of moves in the middle of my pattern but I pretended I hadn't and carried on as normal.
We find out in a couple of weeks but I think we all passed. My daughter was up for a grading award but the master wrongly thought she had won it before so it went to someone else (who very much deserved it)

Re: What are you doing today ??
Today?? I'm thinking of doing some Christmas shopping, but honestly have no idea what to get the GF....already got me lad taken care of though.
Feel like a bit of cycling too, come to think of it...but it's still very early here, I'm sure me & my enthusiasm will go back to bed in a bit.
