Samsung
Looks like they face an uphill battle in trying to get customer confidence back. This isn't the first time they've had issues with their phones

Imagine having one catch fire on you? Some airlines have banned them from their planes.

Re: Samsung
They aren't banned here on aircraft but they specifically mention that they must be turned off and not powered up or charged in anyway for the duration of the flight.
Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

Re: Samsung
Samsung are still in court with Apple over patent breaches as well.
I guess my next phone won't be a Samsung .

Re: Samsung
Aplle take the p!s$ with the patent thing though - they asked Samsung to design a tough glass for them as their's wasn't good enough. Samsung obliged then continued to use the glass in their own product. Apple sued them for 100's of millions.
Samsung's are still a better phone than iPhones IMO

Re: Samsung
Been all OVER the frickin' news here.....Holy Mother Of God....don't they have anything better to talk about??
Seems to me that these days most people have had their phones surgically attached to themselves.....and there's various mounting options available...
a). The permanent hand-mount. By far the most popular option, and coincidentally, also the most bloody useless.
b). The holster mount. Offers a quick-draw capability in case of an urgent text from some other numbnut.
c). The dashboard mount. You'd be lost without it...and you're sure as hell going to get lost WITH it!!
etc....

Re: Samsung
Well there is that phrase; "there's no such thing as bad publicity"Kwacky wrote:not to mention a massive amount of confidence in their products
However....
On reflection, that was coined back in an age where information was far less accessible, so I guess is actually becoming increasingly erroneous.??

Re: Samsung
I've switched between the two products....both have their foibles, and I'm really not that "tech-savvy". I just remember once when I really, really, REALLY needed to make a 911 call, I couldn't get the I-phone to work properly. In it's defence, I'd only had the thing a day or two.
