If you're too stupid to know that with the press of a button you can demist your rear windscreen then you're too stupid for a driving licence IMO.

Right, so now I have to join in on the insurance rant.

My car insurance company have been trying to get hold of me for the last could of days, today I finally gave in and answered the phone.

My premium seems to have doubled over the year for the same cover (confused) so I said no and within less than a minute the quote had dropped by 30%

As it was still over £100 more than I paid list year I stool refused the renewal.

As one annoying fast bastard said.... Go compare....

Not acceptable imo. We have a relative who does so with their daughter and it upsets me somehow.

Something you'll have to get used to i suppose as there will always be 2 different mindsets as her parents now. Its where she wears them (or not) thats key - not that she now has them - IMO.

A good mate of mine has an 8yo daughter. His relationship with her mother was literally a trap that he chose not to die in,
However, obviously, he is a father for life. To his credit he is exceptionally conscientious with his responsibilities in that respect ( which his ex delights in using as a weapon at any opportunity).
Anyway, said daughter has been sporting nail varnish (finger & toe) makeup, "adult style" clothing & jewellery from before she was out of nappies.
IMHO it's gross.

You were on the money Cookie. It turns out they are very plain items to be used as summer singlets under clothing only. It was just the way she informed me "Jorja wears these now, (link) you'll have to buy some for your house" that's it. If she'd explained the situation and context it would've have been ok. Took about 5 emails back and forward to get to that.

Thank god I have Jess to help me out (she has a 9 yr old daughter) because if I had to rely on my ex to help me navigate the minefield of raising a daughter I'd be screwed!!

The problem with clothing is that it's all too easy to look at it from an adult male perspective. Our kids want to wear stuff and our brains go whizzing off seeing the items of clothing in a completely different way to how your kid sees it.

Adults dressing the kids up like little adults is another matter though. Those child pageants in the States are wrong. Very very wrong.

Yep...definitely agree with that. Parents inevitably living their lives vicariously through those of their children. It's an easy trap for someone to fall into.

Today and tomorrow morning I was going to be trying to get my desk cleared prior to leaving for a week off, but have been sucked into going to "assist" a so called colleague first thing in the morning who f***ed up big time today in front of a customer.

This guy is an ex-pat Brit, who was foisted on us by our factory because they don't want him near their kit, not only has he turned a simple job into a marathon, but he's also somehow crossed over an Adblue (acid) line with an engine coolant line and has trashed thousands of £'s worth of equipment. But this guy is pure Teflon, he's screwed up so many times he should have been fired 3 times at least, but we are still paying him to f*ck up. Unbelievable.

I'm officially on holiday as of 12.30 tomorrow, I didn't need this in the morning as well. Grrr.
