Scoring free bits for the track bike!
Jumped on the local Kawasaki forum for the first time in ages, and two different guys were cleaning out garages and offering free stuff. So I nobbled a set of barely used Metzeler K3 racetecs and a bunch of race brake pads (new and part used) for nothing! Both guys live within 30 km of me.

Fitted the GB Racing covers.. only difficulty was fitting the pulse cover as I couldn't get one of my fairing bolts out so a lot of manipulation was required **covers eyes with hands**
They look great and hopefully it's £140 wasted as I don't want to crash !!

Had some Battlax S20 evo's fitted. Going to give them a wash down to get any excess lube off then spend the day tomorrow scrubbing them in as best I can. Nice to have round tyres again.

I try and do the same.. if there's any excess gunk on the tyre from fitting it slings off and gets everywhere (including the tyre's friction surface)

A mundane ride into work was made better when I spotted a beautiful 999 corse.

Made the most of the dry warm roads and spanked it on some country roads on the way home. Loved it. The petrol light flashed 10 miles quicker than usual so I must have been riding a bit quicker than usual.

Not my bike but sat on an MT10 at Silverstone. It's a lot of bike for the money and you can't see the face when sat on it. Sounds great too judging by the bike on the wheelie stand.

A lot of bike for the money but I've seen a few problems raised about build quality

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
On Sunday I rode cross country to Angelsey and then spent to day on Monday watching Thumdersport and rode home Monday night.......epic roads, but man it's a long way when you take the back roads lol...still feeling knackered now.
However just the ride from the A55 to the track is a great little road when nobody is on it lol....

While I was at Kwak Brum I nipped next door to look at the Triumph bike. A guy I know (Scarlet/Vis's husband) was dropping off his Tiger for a service. He had the Thruxton R for the day. I've no idea how it handles and rides but I must admit it looked and sounded fantastic.

Added my sat nav cable and Telferizer RAM mount. What a fab bit of equipment it is, solid as a rock.
Today off to Mudford Quay with the IAM lot

Put the traction control to good use
It's been raining in Brum so all the crap and diesel are on the surface of the road with the water . Coming off a roundabout and the back end slides, revs go up, bike about to highside, TC kicks in, bike settles back down.
It's such a good system.
