Re: What you watching?
Started watching God of Egypt last night. Got about an hour in. It's pretty poor. Good eye candy though.

Re: What you watching?
Got some cinema tickets off the Nectar points today. The family wanted to see Ghostbusters.
I wasn't fussed after the bashing we gave it when the trailer came out but it was the only option for us really.
But I tell you what, all of us really enjoyed it.
The effects were really good, soundtrack was great, the comedy was excellent, I genuinely laughed out loud several times throughout the film. The story was obviously similar to the original, but its a reboot, you would expect that. It even plays on it in places, all of the original main cast have cameos in it, I think Dan Aykroyd was the executive producer.
All in all, I'm converted. I'd happily watch it again.

Jess and her kids watched that yesterday too Itchy, and all raved about it, she said, you would've enjoyed it and I scoffed at her. Maybe I might have to change my attitude

Re: What you watching?
For what it's worth, I went in with an open attitude. Had I gone in with folded arms with the mindset of "it's not going to be anywhere as near as good as the original" I may have enjoyed it less.
But I went in with the mindset that filmmaking has changed in the last 30 years and that this might be a good laugh.
I was right.

Re: What you watching?
Affleck is closer to the Dark Knight series, which is what this film was initially based on.

Did you enjoy it??Kwacky wrote:The Force Awakens
I didn't care for it that much...in fact, it was very disappointing.
BUT....I'm one of those SW fans who thinks the last decent film was 'Empire'.
End of the day it doesn't really matter.....they get their money whether you enjoy it or not. Daisy Ridley's Brit accent was just a touch too much....it had too many LOTR elements to it, etc.....the two series share many commonalities.
I think I'll put up for an extra for the next one if I can. Just missed out on this one, but like I wrote back then....the whole process of even failing for a tiny walk-on is still pretty cool.
