Re: What are you doing today ??
Today I've been trying to work in the SE UK sauna, ridiculous levels of humidity, rain, thunderstorms etc, that leave me completely fatigued. A cool shower and the ceiling fan on full and I'm nearly me again.
More thunderstorms tonight and a 5am start in the morning.

Re: What are you doing today ??
today I spent 3 hrs at the hospital at the request of my GP , who thought the infection I have could lead to me losing an eye , saw 3 different doctors none of them know exactly what is wrong with me but all agreed that I am highly unlikely to lose an eye , so they sent me home again . I feel ok - a lot better than earlier in the week when I felt awful , but my face is still quite red and swollen , looks like Ive done 10 rounds with somebody with a real good right hand .

Family Kwacky did their taekwondo grading. Everyone did really well and my daughter came second in overall grading. We're not told until next week if we passed

Having a splurge at our local butchers and deli, we've got the family over for lunch tomorrow and we're laying in required supplies. I love good food & drink, I just wish it didn't cost so much.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I'm stuck in work but still a very proud Dad and Husband as the last few days have seen the Blades achieving some great sporting achievements.
My youngest got a second and first on school sports day and won a trophy at football for man of the match this morning.
Eldest lad won a race at schools sports day and got a second in a swim gala where he was a stand in and competing against boys 2 years old than him.
That was Thursday and Friday and then today all the Blades were at it including the missus at karate grading.
Eldest lad got his 2nd level purple belt with white stripe and the youngest and missus both got their yellow belts.
I'm going for a run after work. I guess I m going to have to step my game up and at least go for a PB as the bar has been set high........haha

Been to see 'The Secret Life of Pets' with Mrs and boy. It was pretty funny and I was lol'ing at points. Had an hour of sneaky beaky action on Metal Gear Solid 5 on PS4, which I got yesterday after umming and aaahing about it for about a week and now just waiting for my brother in law and his bird to come round for curry and alcohol.

Re: What are you doing today ??
@D6Nutz I would highly recommend it mate. Safe controlled environment with excellent instructors who really know their thing and guide you through everything step by step. Personally considering going again!!
I won't lie it took ages to be able to get to this stage infect this was one of my last 30mins when I started to do it!! However it was wet and personally I think I let that get in the way of me being able to give it the beans while popping the clutch.

Cricket cancelled this morning, but we've got the parents and Midi Gee+family here for lunch, so it's prepping for that interspersed with trying to catch up on some of the Glastonbury sets I've missed, I'm bouncing apps to download them all ATM.

Just expect the worst mate...and either you won't be disappointed...or you'll be pleasantly surprised.
If that makes sense.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Pondering on the contrast of my life.
This time last week I was on a gas platform 250km from land operating some pretty serious equipment.
Today I was singing songs from the peanuts movie soundtrack with my 7 yr old daughter and her friend in the car on the way to school.
I know which one makes me smile more
