Put the standard cans back on and took it for it's mot. Passed with flying colours, only pointers where a broken front mud guard and no reflector. Not bad for a 12 year old Italian bike that's used ask year round.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Gave the downpipes and exhaust links a liberal coating of Autosol.
I bought a tube of it when I had the Daytona, so at least 3 and a half years ago. Never used it. Never got around to it.
Looking at my downpipes is embarrassing, so with a spare hour (or two) I gave it a whirl.
Wow!
It's not exactly a mirror finish, but it's so much better now than the orangey-brown disaster that adorned the engine before!

Been away to Exmoor in an 16th century manor house for the weekend with someone the IAM guys. Fab roads, fab company and fab weekend. Seriously had a great time, the scenery was amazing although we did have 2 guys who dropped their bikes on very very steep ground when parking up.

Ride into work this morning was made entertaining when car blocked me from cutting through traffic just after a roundabout where the traffic merges. I couldn't exit the roundabout so went round again but this time did him on the inside where he had left a gap from blocking me on the outside. I giggled like a child.

Dropped it off yesterday. Met the organisers and are a nice freindly bunch. Instructor asked what my experiance was and talked through some stuff. Really looking forward to it only 34 of us on track. Getting excited

Dull and boring ride into work today.
I spent the journey trying to decide if I should get a new rear tyre before I go to France or after. The jury is undecided but before seems to be winning at present.

If I was going to do anything like that I'd get a brand new set on before going..
Keep that tyre though and get it put back on when the France tyre is done for

New tyre ordered.
There's a twin carcass Z8 so I'm trying one of those. No idea what that means

I road it into work... I am soaked !!!
Tried to dry out my work's top with a 300*c heat gun - rather awkward when a colleague walks in and you're topless.

You will have a ball, unless you know the track, I would get your name down on the White board and get out with Jake or Neil as soon as possible, they will show you the lines you need at speed and you will get more out of it for sure.
rather than finding the lines you want too late in the trip, with your pace you will have so much fun.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Sorted my fuel tank wiring issue, which turned into a mission as I cut the loom in half and as I started making up the plug realised 3 out of 4 of the wires were black so spent a couple of hours with a multi meter and wiring diagram trying to prove which wire was which. I gave it a run so I must have got it right!
And started putting it all together for Pinkslip (mot) and rego (tax). Got to have it done by Friday or else it goes 3 months past expiry and I need a full engineers inspection and report. Basically has to be completely OEM. Never going to pass that!

Stripped my helmet and washed it thoroughly, found loads of flies and a wasp stuck in my air intake on top of the lid!! Then cleaned my leathers. All sparkly clean now after the Exmoor trip
