Have you ever been experienced?

The profound impact of LSD on the brain has been laid bare by the first modern scans of people high on the drug.
The images, taken from volunteers who agreed to take a trip in the name of science, have given researchers an unprecedented insight into the neural basis for effects produced by one of the most powerful drugs ever created.
LSD, or lysergic acid diethylamide, was first synthesised in 1938 but its extraordinary psychological properties did not become clear until 1943. Throughout the 1950s and 60s the drug had a major impact on psychology and psychiatric research, but its adoption as a recreational drug and its influence on youth culture led to it being banned in the 1960s.
The outlawing of LSD had an immediate effect on scientific research and studies into its effects on the brain and its potential therapeutic uses have been hampered ever since. The latest study was made possible through a crowdfunding campaign and The Beckley Foundation, which researches psychoactive substances.

"Well I have, let me prove it to you"
You'd have to be a Devo fan to get that, fairly certain Duke will. To be honest I thought this was going to be a thread about Devo not acid.
PS Devolution rocks!

Re: Have you ever been experienced?
Yes.
No.
When I was recovering from my 'strategic dismount' I took part in a study along similar lines...you know me....anything for a paycheck. Plus I fit the criteria....home-bound, not driving, age bracket (barely!) etc.
IIRC...they give you a bunch of pills to be taken once a day and an intern comes around to administer them...they don't give you them all and trust your better judgement...I clearly don't have any.
I noticed absolutely nothing....at the end of the two week test I was told I'd been given nothing but a placebo....1 out of 10-20 or sommit get the real thing.....but I got paid...forget how much, but it was worth it....$500 or sommit like that.....money for sitting in bed watching TV.....my kinda gig.

Really??TonyB wrote:I've never even tried a cigarette
I LOOOOVE cigarettes....they are yummy and full of goodness and satisfaction....and good for contemplation.
Remind me to tell you the story about an ex., and the price of what a motor officer's shirt costs if a cigarette gets thrown out of a moving vehicle and lodges between his shirt and his badge. Hypothetically.

Incidentally one of the members of Devo wrote the theme tune to Rugrats.
