I'm finding that if you haven't bought the tyres from themduke63 wrote:No one round here wants to fit for £10 a wheel.

Same here. If you take a tyre you've bought yourself in and a loose wheel, there's essentially not much reason in it for them to swap it over for you. A few places might do it if you're a *really* good customer, but most will charge you £20 a wheel.
The garage I use mostly say that the number of folks who expect them to fit self-supplied tyres for nowt is staggering. Why on earth would they?

Well last night really, the 999 has gone off to Louigi moto to have the new swingarm put on and a few other things also he is going to try and ease the clutch as it squeals a bit if you try and pull away quickly, hopefully the Oberon master clutch cylinder will help this also.

@Frankie yes this is from Gary. He's around average/ a little less than average price for around the area but the service is A1 haven't experienced a service as good to be honest I don't mind spending my money in local businesses when their as good as that. As for the tyre this is what I'm thinking the M5 was very good for slightly less. Can you remember what he charges for fitting tyres to loose wheels out of interest? May take a look into the sites and see if I can do it slightly cheaper.
Sounds like I'm contradicting myself here but I'm if I can get a little knocked off by simple steps then I'll give it a try. Haven't taken off a wheel off a motorbike since working in the garage when I was 14-16!!

Started installing the quickshifter took the air box off to check there was a shiny new filter in there and what i found was what looks like a fly/ wasp grave yard and a dirty wet air filter #whyihatedealers ......
Anyway got it nearly installed but no point putting it back together with out doing a service on it.

The filters get clogged really quickly that's why it's worth buying an aftermarket washable one, also smear some grease or Vaseline on the airbox lip to trap muck before it gets to the filterrocket wrote:Started installing the quickshifter took the air box off to check there was a shiny new filter in there and what i found was what looks like a fly/ wasp grave yard and a dirty wet air filter #whyihatedealers ......

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Left it at home. I reapplied some ACF50 yesterday so I'm going to leave that to seep in for a few days. The bike is booked in for a service on Tuesday so I might leave it until then.

all clean
Bad news it I picked up a puncture on the rear while I was out. I'll see if I can plug it.

As long as near the centre line of the tyre a garage will do a plug which will be as good as new.
