Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
booked tomorrow off.
Hoping to get the front wheel off. Pinch bolts are seized. rear wheel is off so at worst I can get the tyre on that replaced.
Then got to find someone with 190/55 tyres in stock. If I can get both wheels off, I'd like to try either;
M5's, M7's, Diablo Rosso II, Pilot Road 4, or roadsmart 3

Spray WD40 on the bolts, D6, it should help them to budge.
Tyres wise i would go PR4s as i suspect they will last longer than all the others.

The Z8s are good on the SX
PR4 get good reports.
M7s might not last as long on the big 1050

Dammit, was meant to spary that on last night. Must remember when I get home.duke63 wrote:Spray WD40 on the bolts, D6, it should help them to budge.

Longevity would be good, but when it's summer, you can tell a touring tyre just doesn't give the same feedback when on the edge of a tyre.
I don't know anything about Michelin tyres though. Never tried any.

I don't know, they seem to stand up well to the RSV.. Mind you it only took one rideout to sort out a squared off rear.Kwacky wrote: M7s might not last as long on the big 1050

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
My shock should be back Friday so I should be fitting that over the weekend..
In other news, my front brakes have been left to bleed over the last week so I should be able to take the calipers off and service them. I've got some BSB spec brake fluid to go in (Motul RBF660) which should mean I don't get brake fade halfway through the day. If I do then it's time to look at discs and master cylinder... £££££

I have some. If i get chance today (took dsy off) I'm going to fit new battery. I then have a powerlet DIN socket to fit. I can then plug gloves into this.Kwacky wrote:I need to invest in some heated gloves. So cold this evening.

I'm getting bored riding in the dark. The mornings aren't too bad now but night time riding in traffic isn't much fun.

Ha ha more than I have, I won't look in there, it's too depressing.... Bloody dry sunny days during the week when I am working, then crappy miserable days at the weekend

It was crappy and cold this morning. Still, some of the road salt will have been washed off.

Washed the SX, topped up the ACF50 and swapped the cans over.
