Re: Helmet Poll
Tbh Duke if you had asked me 4 weeks would I buy HJC I would have said no.
I have always liked the Lorenzo rep but not the HJC brand for no other reason than I prefered what I knew and trusted in Arai and Shoei helmets.
I tried one on by chance and the fit was great the quality was good and weight difference is amazing.
I did some research and can't find a bad review. Some video reviews by retailers said in the past they wouldn't recommend or even stock HJC but they have apparently moved on dramatically with the RHPA 10 Plus and it's a quantum leap in quality and performance rather like AGV did maybe 20 years ago now.
Owners who have owned for a few years and done decent mileage didn't have a bad review and in Sharp and Snell helmet tests it performs very well.
I'll be honest my decision was intially fashioned based but I'm hoping my research is proved correct and I'm not disappointed.
Either way for £230 and as a second helemt I thought it was worth a go.
I'll write a report after a few months use if people are interested.

Re: Helmet Poll
You will be very happy! It sits quite high and intially takes some getting used to compared with the Arai Chaser - it feels like part of your view is obscured. However, after a week or 2 of riding you will completely forget about it!
That looks nice with a gloss paint job !!
By the way, the rear exhaust vents cannot be closed and you will notice just how well they work during the colder months!

Re: Helmet Poll
Cheers Cav.
It's a second helmet for sunny days to replace my shoei x spirit so one of my top priorities was good venting so no issues there.
I have a Shoei GT Air I can use for colder climes and general use.

Comes with a second smoked visor, a Pinlock insert, helmet bag and some Lorenzo stickers too.

Re: Helmet Poll
That smoked visor is the only visor I have used on that helmet. It's perfect for summer days and at night as it removes the glare from car headlights

Might put a full dark tint on my Christmas list but the light smoke is a good option for changing weather conditions or when visiting Wales as the old bill look for any excuse for a pull.

Re: Helmet Poll
I have a Shoei GT Air as well, but bought a HJC RPHA 10 as a track bike helmet, TBH I prefer it over the Shoei . My GT Air leaks when it rains and the pin lock doesn't fit very well and still steams up a bit.

Re: Helmet Poll
The lightness is the best bit.. absolutely love that although I do want something even lighter. For that you need a Schuberth $$$$$ or Nexx

Re: Helmet Poll
I got mine for 235 with a clear, smoked and full black visor in the end. Tbh would have thought they have come down in price now with Lorenzo switching to Shark.

Re: Helmet Poll
Just worked out my helmet is over 6 years old and very tempted by this one, 180 quid with a smoked visor and free delivery. Different graphics to yours though Blade so we won't look any gayer than normal.
