Dave Emmett surmising that the two sets of wings may actually help the bike go faster with less electronic intervention.
This is an interesting theory. Ducati's wings actually help the top speed of the bike because they cancel out the tendency to wheelie. That means they can actually convert more horsepower into speed, and accelerate faster.
Normally, this is done by managing the drive with electronics, and by cutting horsepower to make maximum use of the grip. The wings reduce the reliance on electronics, and may help create more drive.
Possibly but maybe they improve wear rate as they can run the suspension softer. I don't know it's just a suggestion but Ducati clearly believe it works.
It would be too fast to ever see what it looked like, Blade.
Just jesting, mate, looks are right up there when it comes to bike buying decisions.
Don't ever want to open the garage door and see some ugly two wheeled monstrosity there. Would be like being invited to the hottest sex party ever in the best hotel...only to open the bedroom door and find some ugly spotty bird lying on the bed.
I don't see a problem with that. If its something that does actually work then it's just helping on how stable the bikes are at speed and really does show how far teams take it to be the best! Couldn't see that ever getting into road bikes we will never need that sort of stability while on the road!
