My mate uses one every day on his pushbike and says the quality is really good. It's waterproof.
Just in case anyone is after a dash or helmet cam

Re: Cheap camera
Im tempted... but don't want to put it on my helmet (too many horror stories about it causing head injuries in a crash)... where would you mount it on a Fireblade?

He was wearing a larger camera and a softer helmet.
Side fairing or petrol tank are good spots.

Re: Cheap camera
If you want somewhere discreet and out of site I have seen people took the little bullet cameras like these up the air intakes.

Re: Cheap camera
This camera looks very similar to what I use now, great camera, excellent price, excellent picture. I have mine on the faring. Been used a while now, has worked in torrential downpours, worth a buy imo.

Re: Cheap camera
Looks pretty good build quality for the price. I heard a horror story a while back about a biker being hit off and it took him like a year or something to get it all sorted, straight after he bought a camera just like this and it loops constantly as he uses it for his daily commute, since then he's had no problems with insurances as he has the proof with there! Think it's a good idea to have something.

Re: Cheap camera
Although most the time the camera could be used 'against' me. That's the problems commuting in London.. Most of the time your pushing your luck! And not riding like a newly passed rider

It's arrived at work today. I'll fire it up tonight or tomorrow and give it a test run.
It's very light.

Re: Cheap camera
It's at home. I've charged it up and put the memory card in but I've not had chance to RTM or set it up.
As soon as it's running I'll post a video.

Re: Cheap camera
I need to decide where I'm going to house the camera - on the bike or on me. If it's going on the bike I might use some clear protective film to go on the bike where I'm going to attach the camera so I protect the paintwork.
I'll have a play over the weekend.
