You wouldn't regret getting an RSV4, not that I'm biased but for me the best bike on the road and the best sounding
Even the reviewers agree

I loved carrying first gear to hear its exquisitely textured song, and it's a pleasure to hear a nicely executed rev-matching downshift,” Kev said with hearts in his eyes.

Shouldn't worry too much mate, three cylinders is the optimum performance configuration.

Forked out £600 for a new clutch, as it transpires the previous owner managed to put some of the components back in back to front so hence the clutch is mullered.
Im putting a Sigma slipper clutch in it, at least ill know its new and been done properly . I got the bike for a bargain really and the guy was absolutely gutted he had to sell ( getting divorced ) he did say he had just serviced the clutch and it worked fine all the way home , but then not much further. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and not harass him he was depressed enough as it was
after swearing a lot at the cbr600 due to it not running properly on one cylinder, and changing the plugs, ht leads, coils, cleaned the carbs, new carb rubbers, to still no avail, i compression and pressure tested it. the problem cylinder has 10psi more than the other three, that rules out a sticky valve and head gasket. am now thinking the valves arent opening enough, will check clearances tomorrow, and look forward (not) to playing shim lottery.
dragged the fireblade out of an 18 month hibernation, fuel has gone off so much so that its bunged the carbs up, so carbs off and am half way though stripping/cleaning them, more tomorrow, old smelly petrol was going to my head!
