Re: Yamaha MT-09 test ride
It does show the power of marketing. I had bought a tracer in my head until I took one for a test ride. As much as I wanted to like it, I didn't. I simply didn't gel with it. I think Yamaha have a different design strategy to other bike makers. Triumph, Kwak and best of all Honda all do well at making a bike you sit on then ride and feel instantly at home.

Re: Yamaha MT-09 test ride
Actually just thought, you could always buy Jane the 899 as a present, as your such a nice husband
Being an even nicer husband you could always run it in for her, and also take it on the odd road test to check its safety for here

Re: Yamaha MT-09 test ride
The cheapest s/h 899 i have seen is £9995 from a bloke desperate to sell to pay his tax bill. Most of them are £10-11k+.

Re: Yamaha MT-09 test ride
I don't need to ask permission
I'll take my time. Test rides first, decision after.
There will always be people who buy bikes they can't afford and then need to sell quick. That's how I got the RC8, guy was desperate, I had the cash.
