No brake cleaner

Post by R1ckster »

Hi peeps. Errrrr I fancy swapping out rear pads on the tiger but have no brake cleaner to wipe off the caked mud and crud on the exposed piston.

Baking hot...loads traffic I mean grid lock. Can't be arsed to get some.

Been looking at visor spray :)

Says ph neutral and no harmful solvents despite. Despite the obvious downside of no solvent... Would this be bad to use?

Cheers

Can't imagine it'd be bad to use, but I'd be tempted to use muc off or similar and a good hosepipe, along with a stiff brush.

I use a PTFE spray on the pistons (obviously not the discs) as it's very thin with good penetration like WD40 but much kinder to the rubber seals.
