Had a hair cut,.took the dog out for a walk, fell asleep, put roast dinner on and now watching the footy. Think a very lazy day so far!

Trimmed my beard. I look 5 years younger now. Been to a kids party. Luckily 7 bottles of lager mellowed the otherwise mental afternoon....hic....

Re: What are you doing today ??
Bit of a lazy morning and took the kids to soft play.
Met a few of the neighbours, the house next to us introduced themselves with a bottle of wine and home made shortbread biscuits. The guys over the road said hello with a load of bread fresh from the village bakery.

Banging headache! At 1430 I'm sure it will go! Then gym then off to garage because I need a rubber insert to screw the screw for the bottom fairing to stay in place. Unsure where my old one went but hoping the garage just has one laying around and get it for free! Somehow I think I'll need to order the snalllest part ever!

40 mins in the car and just over 3 hrs on a train to do a hearing test and spiro test. All because work only authorise the tests to be done by one specific company.

No strangely enough. Every other work related travel event (airport trips, training etc) I just use my cabcharge card or claim km's. But for annual medicals they say it's a condition of employment and it's up to you to get there. But then they insist I use a provider in the heart of the city 90 kms away, when I could get it done 15 mins down the road from home.Kwacky wrote:Can you claim travel?
I'm on a good wicket with this job and plenty before me have complained about this anomality in policy with no result, so I just suck it up and do it.
Glad I didn't drive in, just heard on the news the motorway I'd have used is a carpark, some major incident.

Well I thought I was organized but the missus is even better, she has booked our 2016 summer holiday already and we haven't even been on this year's yet. She was also looking at ones further ahead for later in 2016 but it wouldn't let her book that far, ha-ha, mental.

Best feeling in the world...a holiday to look forward too. When you get around to it it will feel like 2 mins since you booked it

Re: What are you doing today ??
Spent the evening applying for a promotion at work. Unsure how well it's going to go down with our managing director after a massive argument this afternoon with him, but the problem is he treats me like I'm already at that position when I'm not, so if he wants to talk to me like that he can bloody well give me the title and pay that goes along with it!
