New Phone Suggestions
My current contract is up for renewal so going to replace my Samsung s3 mini. I want another android phone and would prefer to stay small in dimensions and pay below £20 a month with no upfront cost for the phone.
Currently thinking HTC one mini or Samsung s5 mini.
Anybody know of good deals or got suggestions of other phones they would recommend. I want to stay with android though so please don't recommend an iphone.
Thanks for any help that can be offered.

Re: New Phone Suggestions
Have a look at gsmarena.com
They review pretty much every phone as it comes out. It's also often better to buy the phone outright and just have a sim only deal.

Re: New Phone Suggestions
If you like your Samsung then stick with that brand.
I like big screen phones so I'm no help.

Re: New Phone Suggestions
I'm with Kwacky here Blade. I'm really no good here due to liking quite big phones (HTC M8 at the moment) but like Kiwi has mentioned take a look at the new S5 mini unless you want to change for a bit of variety?

Great comments cheers everyone.
S5 mini seems the obvious choice but will check the website Andy recommends.

Re: New Phone Suggestions
The s6 mini is expected to be out in the next month or two. Samsung are pretty reliable with their phone releases so the s5 mini will shortly be dropping rapidly in price. It's nearly a year old now.

Re: New Phone Suggestions
Been looking in the shops today whilst had time to kill before a flight.
The chap said I need more than 500mb of data as apps and sites viewed in HD will use more data. Is he talking out of his anus ????
I've never gone over 500mb as 99% of the time I'm on Wi-Fi

Re: New Phone Suggestions
Lucky you. I use about 4gb a month. My phone is on all the time and I've found 4G can often be quicker than wifi.
I had this debate with my wife when she was getting her new phone. She never used more than 500mb a month. For her first 3 months she's on unlimited data. In May she used 2.4gb. Because her new phone works so well and does so much she uses it all the time now.

Re: New Phone Suggestions
Good point Kwacky, but do I need more as the very latest apps are more data intensive or is it just simply I'll use it cos I have it ?

Re: New Phone Suggestions
A lot depends on the phone you get. All of them have built in apps you can't get rid of (but some you can disable). So regardless of your intentions, data use will happen.
I paid extra and went for a 5GB bundle. I'm stuck with this phone for a 2 year period so that allowance gives me flexibility and means I don't have to worry about using the phone or my needs increasing as the contract runs.
500mb is very low IMO with 4g phones. Going over your data allowance is where these companies make money.
I would go for 2gb. It shouldn't cost you much more and it gives you peace of mind.
If you're with Vodafone they should give you 3 months unlimited.

Re: New Phone Suggestions
I never went over 500mb either, but I connect a lot to my wifi at home and rarely use it outside of this (only for whatsapp really).
I figured with getting 4G phone my usage may change though, so to be safe went for 2gb.
I'd rather have too much for an extra £2 per month, than go over one month and be charged £30 or something daft.

Re: New Phone Suggestions
To be honest I would go through 500mb within a few days!! I have 5GB and last month had to wait until my next renewal!! It's absolutely ridiculous how quickly you go through if if you know you have it. Watching videos on YouTube is a major MB killer haha!! I never tune into my WiFi anymore as I find it far too slow now I have 4G, just like others have said!

Re: New Phone Suggestions
You really have to weigh up what you use it for and where, eg are you always WiFi connected or do you go out and about and watch videos etc at work etc? I know I'm a high useage user because I use it every day at work and don't have WiFi for majority of the time I am awake haha!!
