We call them Witness Tests over here and it's normally me that gets sent out to host them. I generally get everyone pissed the night before so they are desperate to get out of the factory before the end of the test.

What do you use the RO water for on the rig?
Ummm, everything mate. No town water out here!!! It's our Potable Water supply for all the accommodation, safety showers and eye wash stations and also feed to our De-Ionisation Skid. We also use it to supplement our industrial water supply, which is normally feed from condensate from the HVAC's, but in the dry season it's not enough to keep up with demand. on an average day we comsume about 40-50 m3 of potable water.
And just to be pedantic, we are a Production Platform not a rig
