Hit the usual tourist spots on your first visit. Most of what you want to see like the Gate, what's left of the Wall and various second world war buildings are reasonably close together.

Off to hospital to get a hand injury checked out. I think it's broken.

Not good news Kwacky, hope its not too bad. Hopefully its a more simple fracture than a break.

No sign of a fracture, which is weird seeing as the pain has remained at the same level.
Guess I'll have to take it easy

Having a right prick of a night. My dayshift back to back ran the Emergency Generator up for a test run (V16 cylinder 69 L turbo diesel) and it blew a coolant fitting, right on shift change. So I've spent all night mixing up gylcol to 1:10 into 20 L drums then hoisting them 10 m up to the radiator to re-fill after repairs. It took 340 L then hosing out all the glycol from the generator room and mopping the water up. Taken me 8 hrs and I've just finished... now I can get to my normal duties!
But first I'm taking a break to catch up on TS... priorities!

Had a lo g day today. Had to drop my partner's lil sis off in Slough at the Scout hut for a camping weekend with Guides this morning. Then went off to Slough town to see what's new...answer nothing still a absolute dump. Had a meal out then did a bit of clothe shopping, desperately needed some new jeans! Then travelled back home and watched the new Mad Max film. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Then had to do some food shopping and decided to buy a blender so think we're have some fun with this!

We call it COTOS... c**ts on the other shift but in all fairness it wasn't his fault at all and he'd squared away a far bit of work on days that is normally done on nights so I was in a good position to concentrate on getting the gennie serviceable again.Blade wrote:Day shifter w@nkerkiwikrasher wrote:Having a right prick of a night.
