Loomies...

Post by Fireblade_Ro »

... I've heard there was a pretty bad accident at Loomies this evening, involving an air ambulance. Does anyone have any information on if the riders involved are OK? :(

Comment from Hampshire Constabulary on Facebook just now:

Hampshire Constabulary

We're investigating a road traffic collision, which happened on the A32 towards Fareham just before 8pm tonight (May 20).

Four male motorcyclists were involved in the collision. One rider was taken by air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital with life-threatening injuries; the other three were taken to the same hospital by ambulance, with what is thought to be non life-threatening injuries.

The road will remain closed for the next couple of hours while police investigate at the scene.
If you witnessed the collision or have any information, please call us on 101 quoting Operation Direction.

Never heard about this. Although with the accidents that happened at weekend and with this it definitely shows that its now the bike season.

From what I've read a group of 4 bikes were riding and one dumped oil. Biker behind the group hits the oil and skittles everyone.

No update on injured parties.

That's terrible news. Wonder what happened to cause the bike to drop its oil.

Lot of quarry's in Derbyshire and its not uncommon to find a big brick sized boulder on a bend right on the natural line a biker would take. They over fill the quarry lorry's so they spill over the top.

Yep, lots bloody of, it's such a scary situation because it can blend into the road with a quick look. Be careful out there

And now that rider on the M4... I've had a few near misses on the motorway with people not looking before they swing out... riding on the far right of the outside lane to avoid the pillock deciding they want to share it with you is plain uncool!!!

Hope all riders involved make a full recovery - there were some judgemental stories floating around about the Loomies crash so it's nice to hear that it may not have been the way they were riding.

Mind you I've seen quite a few bellends riding on the m4 this week.

The cream of the crop must have been the idiot filtering through very heavy traffic moving at 80+ properly dressed for a sports bike wearing trainers, jeans, and a puffer jacket (facepalm)
