I looked at buying an old pair of stock cans and putting them on a diet by ripping out most of the inner workings, but even second hand ones are going for £170 each.

I really liked these ones, look right hard and in theme with the bike, and if it's noise you want (rock)

Those Arrow cans are too common for me ;)

I can't make my mind up.

I think if I do go for new cans they'll be black. I quite like these http://www.pipewerx.com/kawasaki-z1000- ... haust.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm not sure on the cans, but the chain adjuster looks the dogs danglies.

Are those adjusters interchangeable left to right? Looks like you could raise the rear and reduce the front trail a bit.

Out of interest why would you want to have them interchangeable left to right, Monty?

Most SSSAs work on an eccentric adjuster basis like that so you can increase the rear ride height.

This is the rear hub on a 916.

Why would you want to adjust ride height based on chain tension ? Surely they should independent of each other.

The chain tension is correct at two points on the eccentric hub. But you have the option of having the hub centre high or low.

In your head turn the one you can see upside down and move it to the other side of the swingarm. Tensioning would be exactly the same front to back but the centre of the hub would move down in the swingarm raising the rear ride height.

But can't you just do that without moving it to the other side?

That adjuster moves through 360 degrees I think or at least the Ducati one above does.

So are they a perfect circle? Don't why but was expecting it to be a bit like a cam.
