Had been using the middle power mode a lot as I like the way it integrates with the shock and seemed a good compromise between low and full power modes as it toggles between the too depending on how your riding.
Decided to put it into full power last couple of rides and have to say it is a hugely different bike in full power.
The top end is the same as middle power mode but the midrange and instant drive coming of corners is very much more immediate in the full power mode.
Never thought I would like power modes tbh as I always thought why by a bike and then cut its power. However on a 190 bhp bike it makes a lot of sense and is a really good feature IMO.
My honest opinion is that without power modes the latest bikes would be so difficult to ride in normal road conditions. It's nice to be able to have the full blown instant power sometimes but it's also good to be able to restrain it a bit in wet weather or heavy traffic.
That's the beauty of middle power mode Duke. I'm not sure what the parameters are for changing over the fuel map but it basically switches between low and full power modes depending on how your riding . very good system on the road.
Well tomorrow I'm going to strip out the Ohlins shock and adjust the rear ride height. Ive just bought some silkolene suspension grease so would be rude not to strip the rear linkage out and give everything a clean and smearing of fresh lube, especially as kawasaki have a bit of a rep for skimping on grease at the build stage. Whilst the tank is of I will fit exhaust servo eliminator and pcv I've just bought. If I have enough time I will also strip and clean the brake callipers.
