That's why I won't use a disc lock. They offer very little security but virtually guarantee a crack mudguard at some point as its just to easy to forget there there.
Those croc locks sound a much better idea and offer a better visual deterrent too as even the thief's don't notice disc locks till they crack your mudguard for you
I would prefer one of them, but I've got to have a "sold secure" lock for insurance purposes and a disc lock is the easiest to carry round..
I've got a couple of stipulations in the insurance policy that the bike must be secured with a sold secure lock when not in use. I've asked the question about what "not in use" means and its hard to get a proper answer....
Quick question about the croc locks, do they hold the lever in a neutral position ?? I'm fairly sure that part of my recent issue with brakes freezing on and disc pitting was caused by the disc lock warning band I've got, it seems to hold the lever in slightly.

Been out with guys from 675 to Loomies. At the start I thought it was going to pee it down as it was black clouds over my area but as I got closer to the meet place (40mins away) the sky become lighter, phew!! Great ride covered over 200miles with 2 full tanks! Want more ride outs now I feel the summer will be a good one
