Started watching Homeland a couple of weeks back. Just started the 3rd season. Its pretty good viewing, a little tense for the early morning train commute sometimes though

Season 1 Episode 1 of Sons of Anarchy. People are still talking about it so I thought I would give it a go.

Wait for it!!!

Coming in February......"Sex Box".....couples argue it out for who is the most dysfunctional (I'm guessing all of them) and then go have make-up sex in a cubicle on-stage......I weep for my adopted country.

Who comes up with this stuff??

After a week at work, sitting down to an hour of childish humour with a glass of whiskey is a good way to wind down.

After reading the original Fleming "Casino Royale" we watched the Daniel Craig film version on DVD last night, tbh the second half of the film isn't that far off the book. Good film!

Really good series if you take it for what it is. Just finished series 6. If you're watching on Netflix, the Shield is also well worth watching.

It's not bad at all, it was a good re-boot to the franchise, albeit a bit long......then they ruined the whole thing with that "Quantum Of Solace" nonsense and the obligatory moonbase in the middle of the desert. WTF?

I actually watched it last night too, while eating me bangers and mash with gravy......then I watched The Great Escape....you know, that really is an awful movie.....I mean, when they all bust out it's cool, and all us bikers just drool over the bike scenes (a lot of the "Germans" were SMQ)....but the rest of it sucks.

Just finished reading "Live & Let Die" (yes, it is the book after Casino Royale) apart from the three main characters and one or two similarities it's nothing like the film. Not sure why they bothered tbh as the original storyline was way better than the film and far more believeable to boot; however it was raided mercilessly for other films in the series, read it and you'll recognise the scenes I mean.

You can't watch The Great Escape unless it's raining and it's a Bank Holiday, it definitely isn't a film to be taken seriously - apart from the last part of course, which is deadly serious. It doesn't really know if it's a romp or a serious film and falls short on both counts, but for the most part it's fairly entertaining.

Sons of Liberty. I'm sure some will argue it's revisionist history, but I've approached it with an open mind and find it fascinating. It's caused me to do some research which has revealed some mistakes in the show, but I've enjoyed it nonetheless.
