Do I???
Slapper opinions required, as I am in (mid-life) crisis.
Lassie wants me to dye my hair!!
OK....I admit it.....I'm starting to get a bit greyish.....friend who is a stylist suggested all-grey as no-one ever does that.....fair enough, I think......But NOOOOO!...... me lassie walks in today with "permanent cream hair color"....WTF?
The hell am I, frickin' Billy Idol??......my natural color is black/ v.dark brown.
I don't have much, and I suppose I can always shave it again if it looks like a train wreck.
Thoughts??

Re: Do I???
Fwiw my natural hair colour is dark brown.
Now my hair is grey, with only a slight residue of the original pigments.
When it first started to pepper with grey I asked Deany if I should dye it (as she has dyed her's all the time I have known her) & she said emphatically not, as ; "it always looks ridiculous"
I am not vain enough (aka not good looking enough) to be bothered for my own sake, so have never bothered.
Anyway, I thought you got a hairpiece for Christmas .?

Re: Do I???
I started going grey at 18, the first time I ever thought about dying my hair was last night.
Someone bought me some "just for men" for my secret Santa! My immediate reaction was a kind of screw you kind of thing, but Mrs nutz wouldn't let me do it. She didn't like the idea of me growing my roots out for the next few weeks.

Don't do it D, you'll look ridiculous enough already in your beret and Def Leppard pants! And I was under the impression you were a crew cut bloke too.
I've got a few greys coming thru' now, but nearing my mid 40's I'm pretty happy with that. I'm not going to dye, it won't make my mug any prettier and thats my biggest disadvantage

I did it!!
Color didn't take...the grey went away, but my hair is too dark to take such a light shade....I'm happy with it.

Tbh I don't give a f**k what mix of grey/normal brown my hair achieves, I just wish it would stay attached to my head.

My hair is completely grey and has been for well over 15 years. Would I dye it ?? Not worth it tbh as it all fell out and been bald for over 16 years

Re: Do I???
My hair is almost white. I'm sure I would look young if I dyed it because I haven't got any wrinkles on my face (being an unsmiling miserable bastard has its advantages).. But for whose benefit? I'm not out to impress anyone. I'm not ashamed of my age. I like my white hair.

Yeah, but you don't have "cream" hair, Def Leppard jeans, and a fricking awesome motorcycle jacket to complete your ensemble, do you??"

Re: Do I???
Really??......Lucky man......me ex's was all grey long before I met her....and come to think of it, me Mom was totally grey way back when I was a littlun.
This actually turned out really well.....and believe me, I'd be the first to say if it looked like a catastrophe.
