Used the bike for a trip and ended up getting a bloody puncture

went to get the kit out from under the seat to fix It, and hey presto it was gone!! Doh! It was under the seat of the tiger
Called BMW rescue who then used the services of SOS. they were having issues with a previous customer, bmw called me very apologetic, lucky enough an old biker chap stopped who was on around the corner, came back with a nice hot cup of tea for me

what a star.
SOS turn up, can't fix as he had broken his pluging kit, asked if I minded doubling up there was a guy in trouble 15 mins up the road, I said no problem called him and then take me home.
2 fecking hours later, we can't find the guy, so we never collect him and I am home!!
Tyre is buggered, hole could be plugged, but it's had it, so new boots for me, and I will make sure I get another repair kit under the seat, never ever, ever, ever again will I be without a means to fix a puncture while out on a bike. Many hours of my life I won't get back. Thank feck the weather is mild and dry it could have been a lot worse.
Word of warning, if you guys are out on lanes which have had the yearly hacking done, I.e that tractor and hedge cutting combo, beware, they don't cut in a nice way, they hack the bloody stuff which then ends up in the road, with very sharp Twigs and bits of tree/bushes, and are a danger to tyres of bikes, especially ones which in fairness are a little close to the sell by date in terms of rubber thickness and tread

The rear has lasted 3500 miles exactly.
But considering I was out of the way, 2 bikers stopped to assist out of 4 that past, and one of those made me a cuppa
