Pedant mode/ I think they quoted 300ps originally which is equivalent to 296hp.

I've nicked my nan's 70s style hairdryer and painted it bright red then glued it to the side of the engine.

Limited numbers means it'll sell. It won't sell if it's going on a full production run.

Re: Poll: Kawasaki's 296bhp supercharged H2R is causing a st
Agree and reckon that's how they will sell. The article suggested there was an agreement to limit power to 200 bhp in road trim. Not heard of this agreement before but completely possible as they made an agreement not to exceed 186 mph and all manufacturers have honoured this even though as far as I'm aware its a genetlmans agreement between manufacturers.Perkles wrote:im sure some clever person will be able to derestrict them
If an independent tuning house could extract more than 200 bhp easily (increase boost by a few psi, which would be very simple) then Kawasaki have a win win without breaking any agteement.

From memory the 186 mph (is that 300kmph?) was agreed between the Japs when the zx12r and Busa started going head to head. I don't think any of the European makers agreed to it.

But they have honoured it as who makes a bike that does above 186 mph.

Bmw website lists top speed as over 200 kmph. I know they limit the cars to 155mph so would be very surprised if a stock s1000rr went over a genuine 186mph / 300 kmph and certainly BMW aren't promoting such.

The Panigale Superleggera power is listed as 'exceeds 200bhp' and the weight of the bike is 177kg wet.
If that doesn't go faster than 186mph then what will?

It will be so easy to get these up in power with the supercharger on !! guessing it is still being driven by a belt so a smaller pully and change the mapping
