Waterproofing
Any recommendations for waterproofing my kit? I want to do my Kreiga rucksack. Especially at the front. The pockets get soaked.

Re: Waterproofing
I'm interested in any recommendations for this, the one I bought for an all weather thermal suit was utter pants, so don't buy the spray on stuff from "Go Outdoors" , it doesn't work, and I followed the instructions to the letter.

Re: Waterproofing
I've tried that as well. It's crap.
There's some stuff you can use in the washing machine which woul dbe ok for the rucksakc but it's crap for clothing as it doesn't allow air to pass through the material.

Re: Waterproofing
Saw that as well, but as that one piece is (a) the size of a space hopper, and (b) a work garment, it doesn't go anywhere near our decent washing machine. Anyway, if it's anything like the spray version it'll be pointless and money/time/effort wasted.

Re: Waterproofing
On my r20 used nikwax spray...Isnt bad for odd shower. Water just runs off great. Heavy long downpour useless.. Basically I just bought a waterproof rolltop liner for the inner main section and chuck valuables there.. Outer pocket for keys, puncture kits etc.. Even my r30 pockets have limits so just accepted pockets get wet.

Re: Waterproofing
I use these
Everything stays dry and you fit more in your bag. Three days of rain traveling to Phillip Island, and I was the only one with dry gear.
I use a small one to pack my wet weather suit in as well, it's the only way I can fit it under the Daytona seat.
