It's 703bhp. I know this for a fact because I was told by the guy who runs the Greengrocers in Shrewsbury.

To paraphrase the thread title, "Is there any point in reading MCN?"

Why not? They produce cars with stupid bhp figures, why should this not apply to bikes.

If it was a raw 250 then I can see the arguments against it but with all the computer management tricks and gizmos I don't see it being an issue.

I agree with Frankie if there's a market for them (me and Frankie at least, haha) then build em and sell em to all the bhp junkie mentalistsFrankie wrote:Why not? They produce cars with stupid bhp figures, why should this not apply to bikes.

Re: Is there any point in a 250bhp road bike?
A lot of this arguments were aired when the hypertourer bikes were coming out. Everyone saying the Busa and the zx12r were too extreme and too fast. Then there was the 186mph agreement.
The only thing Busas make you do is buy chrome parts.

2 million no 1.6 million yes, that's a clear decision tbh.

Re: Is there any point in a 250bhp road bike?
It has occurred to me that they are hyping this to the max because it's rather underwhelming in real life, granted a multiple speed blower is something of an innovation, but this smells a lot like the 1290 Superduke hype, a lot of the journo's wondered what all the fuss was about when they actually rode the bike. Until they turned the electrics of of course.

Of course there is a point.........i want to test ride one.
I just hope the bike is as good as the hype this time though. The KTM turned out to be a bit of a damp squib.
