Re: Bit of help needed
No idea what they have done to Motogp bikes but they are definitely quieter than they used to be.Blade wrote:Had these on the SP briefly. Beautifully built can and best I have ever seen but were just to loud so I sold them. Never had had them noise tested but similar to a motogp bike warming up and there 130 dB.
Fast forward to clip to about 3.43

Hadn't really thought about it Duke but your right. I remember watching them at Donny in 2003 and you genuinely needed ear plugs in the crowd it was that loud.

I listened to Bradley's M1 being warmed up in pit lane at the Day of Champions without needing any ear protection. You could not do that the last time i was that lucky.

Not sure this thread has actually helped as the poll shows most with un-baffled cans guess I might have to stick with them then

Re: Bit of help needed
I repacked them about 6 months ago, it didn't really make much difference.
@blade - I'm more bothered about everyone around me. I remember following Ket on his tueno with unbaffled cans so know how loud it is to follow.

Re: Bit of help needed
I wouldn't worry about the noise for others if I was you. Can't speak for anyone else but personally the noise from another bike wouldn't bother me, in fact probably quite the opposite I would probably enjoy hearing a twin getting spanked on open cans. But if it did bother me I would either drop back or over take you. I would just do what makes you happymate and not worry about anyone else.D6Nutz wrote:I repacked them about 6 months ago, it didn't really make much difference.
